Untitled (Letters & Receipt)
Early–Mid 20th Century
Paper, ink, memory, silence

Once exchanged between hands —
perhaps between family, friends, or strangers —
these letters were part of a life in motion.

The ink has softened. The paper has faded.
But something lingers.

A handwritten note in Chinese, believed to be a receipt, hints at the rhythms of daily life: a transaction, a promise, a moment acknowledged. We may never know exactly what passed between them — but their presence tells us that something once mattered here.

What they meant then may be gone.
But the way they make you feel now — that belongs to you.
